The collection is estimated to contain over 10,000 stamps values p to 5 including phosphor, printing and shade varieties, coils, hundreds of booklets, miniature sheets, cylinder blocks, Post & Go labels. The collection has been meticulously compiled with all the relevant technical information and colour images on computer generated pages. Values over 5 are included if you count the 'Special Delivery' stamps, in sheets of ten. Although earlier issues are represented the main body of the collection is more modern issues from 1990. Highly specialized with cylinder blocks and booklets with scarcer cylinder numbers, this collection would be impossible to replicate. Additionally we note the sheet of two miniature sheets signed by Jeffrey Matthews, which is very collectable and desirable. The collector has calculated a face value of 7,037, however, postage rates have increased since this, giving added value to the 1000s of non value indicated stamps. 10485Hong Kong54b1898 (1st April) 10c on 30c grey-green, SURCHARGE DOUBLE with equal intensity, from position 17 of the third printing showing broken 'EN', very fine mint, and with 2011 BPA photo certificate signed by Schneider, Granger and Taylor, probably the most knowledgeable experts in the field today. To put the rarity of this stamp into perspective, the 10c on 30c with Chinese characters similarly with double surcharge has been recorded incl. within a complete mint pane, and a handful of singles (currently priced at 12,000 by SG). ONLY one row in a single pane became doubly printed, and the row comprised a setting of six subjects (incl. the above variety showing 'EN' broken); Moving on to the same stamp issue without Chinese characters which this is, ONLY ONE OTHER EXAMPLE IS KNOWN and unpriced by SG, and to find one with this combination of broken letters is almost certainly unique. A Hong Kong and indeed Asian philately rarity of the highest calibre. US

19886India - OfficialsO150a/O150b1948 GANDHI OFFICIAL SERVICE 1948 overprint 1a brown complete sheet of 50 from Plate B6 and another complete sheet of 50 from Plate A6 PLUS 3a violet complete sheet of 50 from Plate B2. All stamps unused with overall original protective backing adhesion, described as glassine tissue by the RPS, but more accurately described as semi-transparent greaseproof protective paper which essentially is the over-riding reason why these sheets facially are so fresh, fine and beautiful. The fact that the protective backing paper adheres to the stamps is the very reason why these sheets exist today in such remarkable fresh appearance (one example of the 3a violet is thinned upon the reverse but reveals the perfect original gum locked in time by the backing paper). Minor wrinkling and a few negligible tone spots otherwise beautiful. It is almost as though, unknowingly, a previous owner has protected these three sheets facially to Exhibition Standard. A GREAT RARITY - 2017 RPS & BPA certificates for EACH sheet (3 sheets, 6 certificates), Total SG Catalogue Value 360,000+ conservatively estimated according to condition at 85,000 and reserved at the UPA standard 80% of estimate at 68,000. Scans of front and reverse + certificates available upon request. Cat 360000
